Oil-based drilling fluid circulation technology

Oil-based drilling fluid circulation technology

introduce

As harmful solid particles invade continuously, the performance of drilling fluid deteriorates. During the drilling process, harmful solid particles invade continuously, causing an increase in the viscosity and shear force of the oil-based drilling fluid, as well as an increase in the low-density solid particle content. This results in the deterioration of the drilling fluid's performance, making it difficult to control, and requiring a large amount of new slurry supplementation to maintain its performance. Harmful solid particles smaller than 10 μm in the drilling fluid are difficult to remove using existing solid control equipment and remain in the drilling fluid, accumulating over time, greatly reducing the recycling rate of the drilling fluid, and eventually forming waste drilling fluid.

To address this issue, we have developed an oil-based flocculant, CS-HSF, which can adsorb and aggregate harmful solid particles in the oil-based drilling fluid, making it easier to remove them using solid control equipment. The treatment agent has a minimal impact on the original mud performance, with only a slight decrease in the high-temperature and high-pressure filtration loss and density. The filtered liquid after treatment can increase the number of recycling uses, thereby reducing the cost of using drilling fluid and achieving cost-effectiveness.
